Some more progress on this bust. I want to make the base of this bust a bit more interesting. I get a metal badge of the House Lannister from a friend who bought it online. I decided to paint the badge to make it something like a golden lion with dark red background, representing the standard of House Lannister. The pictures below show how the badge looks like after it was just primed in black and my painted version that is attached to the front side of a wooden base.

I have already finished painting the red cloak as well and will soon mount the bust onto the base. I may make some final touches to refine the bust after putting all things together and will then take final pictures.

If you see anything needing adjustment or change, please don't hesitate to share your opinions with me. Hope you like it so far. Thanks.

Hello Jason,
Quite intrigued by this piece;..The badge really looks good.
But I have a question;.."The Lord of Lion''............Is there any historical reference to this piece or is it purely fantasy ?....Sorry, not to familiar with fantasy, actually it opens the door for much creativity...fact or fiction I don't think it will stop me from getting this piece;plus your paint job so far makes you one heck of a salesman.
Looking forward to the finished piece.........( by the way,is that a two piece bust?...havn't seen any reviews.
Keep up the good work..........Wayne

Hi Wayne I agree with your observation on watching the process of painting really keeps an interesting element to a new figure ,and personally adds to the purchasing interest it certainly has made me seriously consider purchasing this figure albeit not in my area of interest ,but certainly has caught my eye ,and no doubt my Visa card .
Cheers Chris

As Jasmils (thank you, Jasmils! )mentioned in the reply above, the bust represents Tywin Lannister, who is one of the major characters from "Game of Thrones" HBO TV series. That TV series itself is based on "A Song of Ice and Fire" which is a series of epic fantasy novels written by American novelist and screenwriter George R. R. Martin. More information of this novel series can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Song_of_Ice_and_Fire

House Lannister is one of the Great Houses of the Seven Kingdoms and the principal house of the Westerlands. Its seat is at Casterly Rock. Tywin Lannister is Lord of Casterly Rock. Its coat of arms displays a golden lion rampant on a crimson field, and its words are Hear Me Roar! This is the reason why I think NutsPlanet (the producer of this resin bust) names it as "The lord of lion". More info about House Lannister and Tywin Lannister is here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/House_Lannister#House_Lannister

Below is a picture of Tywin Lannister (acted by Charles Dance) in "Game of Thrones"

I attach some pictures I took as open box reference for you. The pictures might be a bit blur and small and hope they can help you get a general idea on what the bust looks like before it is painted. The bust consists of 3 pieces as you can see from the picture on the top right cornor - the head, the body and the plinth. The sculpt and casting of this resin bust are of very high quality.
