This is my first and last 25 mm. vignette, unfortunately my poor eyes can't take the strain,
much too small for me.

The dragon was painted using the dry brush technique, different shades of apple barrel green and yellow acrylics were used.

The figures were painted in oils wet on wet.

Please feel free to critique and advise.

Hi Roc

Think it looks superb! Nicely composed vignette!

Painting a 28mm figure myself right now (Sci-Fi) so I understand how hard it is!

Nice one

Rob

Thanks guys, appreciate your responses and your comments.

Hey Keith,
Poor Theoden, indeed. I'm glad you like it.

Hey Guy, those 25 mm. can be beautiful but a terrific strain on the poor eyes.
Immagine what the poor sculpter must go through.

Hey Rob,What kind of 28 mm. Sci-fi are you painting, and can we see a picture upon completion.

Roc. ;)

Hi Roc
I am just getting into this small scale stuff,
currently sculptiing the classic girl with a big sword thing
I find your mini diorama inspiring, great work.

Hi Roc

The figure is a good old (well, new) Games Workshop figure, a 'wichhunter'.

Should complete him tomorrow, so pics up soon

Rob

Thanks guys.

Rob,the wichhunter sounds interesting, can't wait to see some pictures. ;)

Frank,I Tip my hat off to you, it must be extreemly difficult sculpting something that small. :)

Brandy, the dragon is a very detailed piece ,the sculpter did a terrific job.

Roc. :)

Roc, my friend, a really well done vignette.

I just painted this weekend a 28mm Saruman for my sister's girlfriend and i said to myself that i won't paint a 28mm never again :)

Daniel, thank you my friend,I'm glad you like it
I agree with you, those little guys are very difficult to paint.

I would love to see a picture of the Sarumen.

Roc. :)

Hey Joe,thanks ,much appreciated.
I know what you mean, thank goodness for those pictures is right.

Here you have it! I have to say i didn't paint it like if he was Saruman, just as an unknown magician for a role playing game (well, not really unknown, his name is going to be "Roland of Galaad" or something like that  )

Great looking figure Daniel!

Flesh tones are great, as is the white hair/grey robes contrast. And subtley painted, which is good in this scale!
