What happens when the keystone of a Show decides to call it a day?
Vern Minkwitz ( who has been the keystone for quite some time ) is calling it a day. With the success of the new location in Delaware ( which he set up from
top to bottom ) he has decided to spend more time painting and enjoying the hobby by giving up the intellectual and grunt work of the MFCA Show. I personally applaud him for this decision. Vern and I have been friends since he had hair and fresh horse bites on his body.
His recent energy and drive saved the MFCA Show and we were all grateful for his efforts over the years.
Now it's time for the Show to carry on.
Vern will provide all the data necessary for a smooth transfer ( as I remember unlike what he received when he took over most of the tasks ) and I am sure the capable hands of Dennis Levy, Art Etchells, Jim Goldsmith and other members of the Committee will all work in unison to form a new Keystone.
While I am simply glad to have my good friend focusing on the things that give us so much pleasure and are so much our passion.
