Very interesting and nicely composed scene with the figures working well together, nice touch with the dead/wounded man to portray the action.
Looking forward to seeing more of this one.

Steve

Looks great Balazs. Only one remark, the guy who is sitting is proberly wounded. I think you can add more drama by laying him more instead of sitting. It looks he has no part at the scene.
But i must congratulate you with this amazing work.

Marc

Primož, Steve, Marc thank you!

Marc you are right, the sitting guy is not so dramatical. But he is just dead, his face is dramatic but the body is calm. Serious wounded people could lost mind, and they doesn't thinking about the others, he just sit or lay and wait the end.

I hope I could show it by the painting.

Cheers,
Balázs

Excellent work
For what its worth I think you got it just right with the guy sitting helplessly against the wall and the invaders sweeping past him

Thank you Peter and Xenofon!

My friend Christos has asked me about the priest. Yes he is a greek orthodoxian priest and I have found earlier a great patern on an icon what I will try to use by the painting:

Fantastic work Balasz, and a great subject as well!!! Welldone..............

Ray ;)

I am very thrilled with this theme. Partly because I like to paint medieval Byzantines and Hungarians and partly because this scene took place in Belgrade, Serbia. The one with triangular shild and sword pointer upward look like byzantin knight to me. I hope I will meet you in Mosonmagyarovar next monath. Do you plan to finish this project until then?

Hello Djorde!

Thank for your kind words! I have edited a small guide as who is who in the scene. Ther is just one Byzantian, the died soldier and the priest. The commander show the way with his sword and cry.
Maybe it's not seeable :( it's my mistake.

Yes, I'm working on the painting. I will show picts soon. And yes, I have to be ready to Mosonmagyaróvár. ;)

I hope to we could meet there. I wan to organize a group picture for Planeters.

Cheers,
Balázs
