A tremendous piece to be sure but $120 PLUS post for a resin 75mm foot figure.....really? Personally, I don't see 2.5 times the figure here of a like scaled and premium quality, say, Mercury, Altores, Medieval Forge etc. resin 75mm figure would cost. I think the seller may need to be more realistic with a selling price here or it may be more 'rare' and 'exclusive' amongst painters than they wished!

Thank You, Yellow-cat. I think the problem with photos upload by my moblie...

I know the problem with the pricing for some reason with the collectors.
And I know this is not a hot topic/theme for miniture figure model.
And I'm sure this is the best sculpture I created.
And I believed some people is loving this sculpture and fully understand why I set this pricing for the market.
And some sculptor or creator inspired from this sculpture in last year.
And I cast it for a very limited for sell because it just hard to be cast/molding.

Sorry for any disapointed you because of pricing, again I believed some people will love to paint it or collect it but not resell it when he/she recevie my sculpture.

Have a nice day,

William Tsang

Please read the selling rules #5 about the seller's pricing.
https://www.planetfigure.com/threads/rules-guidelines-please-read-before-posting.79884/

"5. Do not make any negative comments about the price a person is asking for their items. If you have evidence that this person should not be selling items on the board, please PM a moderator".

Hi Guys

All members have the choice regarding the cost for what they considers a good price for a piece

Of course all are entitled to general comments and compared to others in this scale it might be more but the price is the Williams choice .

If interested I suggest contacting him via PM to discus the cost off thread

I thought this was Planet Figure and not Planet Platitudes?

If expressed in a constructive and non offensive or abusive manner then why is this a 'no go' subject or by default, considered "negative" given the seller is using this platform for commercial promotion and sale of his / her goods? Like when a shop is advertising a TV for sale at a given price or someone is even selling their house or car, then you are within your consumer rights to question the price with the seller and then ultimately take it or leave it. As such, what's so different with a resin or metal figure or toy soldier being touted for sale on this site? I mean, no one seems to have a problem when the membership are praising a reviewed product or even in the 'Sales' forum offering the caveats in support of something as - " Incredible value for money" or "For what's in the box, its a bargain" etc. Likewise, I have seen comments left in the sales section of PF saying outright or simply alluding to the seller that their kits offered for sale are not competitively priced. If people are new to the hobby or selling on behalf of someone else whilst uninformed of current kit or second hand prices etc. then perhaps such feedback is helpful rather than, by default as per 'Rule 5', 'negative'..?

Like in everyday life courtesy of PC, I hope this seemingly creeping and subjective censorship of what can / cannot be said however constructively or factually given and all for the sake of sensitivities or ego, won't become a common feature here on PF as well.

Gary

I generally think that PC is a good think, but Gary has a point here. There is a difference between saying that somebody must be crazy to ask such a price for their product and that the product is expensive compared to other similar products. The first may be construed as a negative comment forbidden by that dreadful article 5 (though I personally think things sometimes should called what they are). The second is a factual statement which can be easily verified by anyone who has been in the hobby for more than one day.

Best wishes,
Sergei

Hi Gary, Thank You for your comment.

I total agreed your point of angle. The human right for saying their own idea, perspective and their choice.
Thank You for your time to shared your worrying.

YES, I'm 100% sure this is the expensive rate of such/my sculpture.
Even, I am the normal fans of figure MINIATURE and I love to collect them.

But, please stand to the angle with me. I am the sculpture father and I'm selling my son...

Please respect my choice.

Thank You for you time,
William Tsang

William your work is tremendous and being the talented artist and evidently reasonable person that you are given your response, I am sure you will take any feedback in the constructive manner in which it is given and intended.

I wish you every success in this and all of your your future projects.

Best regards.
Gary

Hi Guys

"That dreadful article 5" !!!!

we need a set of guidelines of course but as I said potential purchasers can always contact sellers by PM

As William said he is selling his "son"

I've seen figures go for well above what I thought they would go for. I know as I have bid on some on Ebay. Just because I think the price is high, doesn't mean that someone else wont buy it for that price. It has happen to me many times, on the other hand I also have paid a lot for a figure just because I know "that figure" is hard to find or you know it doesn't come up for sale often. What it's worth is really not the question sometimes, sometimes its how much do you want it!!
I think sending a PM to the seller is the best way to go, rather than a reply in the thread, your still getting your point across to the seller. I've had people when I have sold stuff offer me 1/2 the asking price and tell me that I will never sell it for that price, meanwhile someone is sending me a PayPal payment for the asking price.
Just my thoughts :)

Bear in mind costs of living in that part of the world..check his fb and blog..it’s traditionally sculpted and each piece he does is very different from the others..so there are no computer economies in doing several similar..he has sold pieces to MJ and with MJ shifting gears is making his own..these are short run..judge as art and not the same at all as what is churned out weekly by others ..people are drawn to the work of name artists..and he’s no household name on PF, but there is more depth of expression and personality in his faces than most..as well, it’s a spot in history totally missing in the genre..Michael has a wealth of reference links ...that it’s priced above market is self evident, but then 30 or 40 euros on a short run piece? There is no money or value for artists in this ..the sculptors get diddly..it’s a matter of respect for craft..
