Alpine's 120mm Soviet Officer WW2.
Painted in acrylics. My first Alpine kit, mightily impressed

Nice work, Macca. Lovely paint job (I like the face particularly) & great presentation - the base with the Red star sets it off well.
You can't go wrong with Alpine figures; their 1/35 kits are my go-to brand for most of my AFV builds, & the larger-scale castings are crisp & fit together so well.

Hi Macca

Another nice addition to your cabinet ....effective figure and the sculpting looks good as expected from Alpine

Good presentation , like the star

Lovely leatherwork on the jacket (just like the ultra-trendy one I got from C&As back in the 60s... it must have been ex soviet war surplus )

Thanks chaps. I made use of the Mike Blank Colour Harmony book for the leather jacket.
The base was Vallejo Black +Saddle Brown + Prussian Blue. First highlight was with a touch more Saddle brown to the base, then progressively adding more flesh. Shading was done with Black + Prussian Blue. For the really deep shadows such as the seams, I used Andrea black ink. Finally to help it all blend together, I added a couple of very thin washes of Black + Deep Rose Madder (Matisse Artist acrylic).

Excellent work Macca.
I’ve not painted any of the larger Alpine figures, but their 1/35s I’ve found superb.
Cheers,
Andrew
