Hello Folks
Sculpted in 75mm by Carl Reid is this 21 x figure set of resin kits depicting soldiers of the 52nd (Oxfordshire) Light Infantry, which formed part of Major General Frederick Adam's brigade at Waterloo. It was the largest british battalion present having over 1000 men forming 2 x separate squares during the massed French cavalry attacks of the 18th June 1815. The unit also played a significant role in the defeat of the attack of the old guard in the latter stages of the battle with sustained musket fire.

This project was planned to be my main release for the Folkestone Euro show later this month but due to the current pandemic this will not take place and the set is available now.

I have cast 20 initial full sets with an introductory price of £400.00 each + shipping. Although this works out at under £20.00 per figure I appreciate the price is not within everyones immediate grasp. With this in mind I will be making the set available in 4 x parts and also as individual figures. I will post up price details for these in a later post
If anyone wishes to pre order the full set please contact me by email only on g[email protected]

At the moment the figures are not available on any website.
I have attached some photos of the pieces which can be used to form the corner of a square or in line at the discretion of the modeller. I am looking to add to this project with further optional figures and conversions which I will detail on future posts.
Cheers
Gordon

Hi Gordon

Impressive release and a heck of a project

Good to see your understanding of modellers incomes offering ways to build up to the full set , @ £20 a figure if you buy the full set ...very reasonable

Like the ensigns and colour Sgt and the drummer with officer in particular

Hope we see a painted version

Thanks for sharing

Wow, that's some impressive work, definitely a labour of love. This will look fantastic painted up.
Fingers crossed some of these be offered as single figures.

I'm not generally a Napoleonics guy, but this is a monumentally ambitious and very impressive release. And as I commented to Carl on Facebook, it will be stunning in the hands of a skilled painter with the time and patience to finish 21 redcoats. Even the smaller groupings will I'm sure look impressive.

why is there no 54mm, practical and popular size, great piece either way, shame not 54mm

Oh God, not this again .... WHY do people do it???

The answer's simple: It's not 54 because it's 75. Which is also a practical and very popular size.

And no doubt if it were 54, there'd be someone moaning that it's not 75.

You can't please everyone all of the time. Just a fact of life. Let's just be grateful that there are so many great new releases constantly coming our way that it's difficult to keep up. We really are spoiled for choice.
