Hi All,
Firstly a massive thank you to Colin and all our lads at the D.M.M.S. (Darlington Military Modelling Society) for their endeavour, commitment, passion, enthusiasm and drive in not only organising a fantastic show, but also for contributing and helping create a wonderful atmosphere. It was a day to remember. Even the chimp chipped in.
Secondly thank you to everyone who attended including all the other clubs and traders, you all deserve a massive pat on the back for helping make it a great day.
It was lovely to meet some old friends and meet some for the first time I have only communicated with on pF. Graham (C.G.S.), Keith (tecumsea), David (I might aswell take this award back to Scotland and keep it as I've won it before.....and know doubt will win it again) a great painter, Carl (the brummie Reid) and Roger (billyturnip) spring to mind. Thanks Roger for the M.M.M.
The standard of entries in our competition again.......WOW, fantastic, unbelievable, inspiring and I apologise for the standard of my poor photo's (me and Helm are kindred spirits and blood brother's in this department sorry Steve, but you know I'm right ), they do not do them justice.
A very personal thank you from me to all who purchased books from myself on the day and a special mention to our own Gordon (Grod - Mitches Military Models) for his most generous donation. All the money raised goes to the Hartlepool Hospice I work for, I managed to get £230 on the day . This will be supplimented by an additional 25% as all the books sold were gift aided. Cheers boys and girls.
I hope you enjoy.
cheers
Richie
