Hi folks,

another question:

Did anyone had "Into the West" as a Video copy from the television?
An native friend told me that the DVD version is shortened.
The continuing story of Naomi Wheeler and her Cheyenne husband is not shown on the DVD but was shown at the original televison serie. Also other szenes of Native Americans are cut out in the DVD version.

I would love to have a look on the original television version.

Bruno, I do not have the TV version or DVD of "Into the west", but would think maybe there is a director's cut coming with the scenes deleted added back in. I believe "The war that made America" will be available on DVD Feb. 16th. I think the series is worth it as there are very view documentaries on the subject. Another independent documentary is "When the forest ran red", which deals with Washington's early military career and Braddock's defeat. If you are interested in this one I would suggest you get the director's cut as there is some great narration/interviews with some well respected historians on the subject.~Gary
