This 1/24 scale figurine represents a literary character - the heroine of the poem "The Wife of the Tambov Treasurer" by the classic of Russian literature of the 19th century Mikhail Lermontov.

This little-known work is based on an anecdotal incident from life: an officer of the Uhlan regiment, staying in the provincial city of Tambov, won a beautiful wife from the city treasurer at cards.
I wanted to quote, but, unfortunately, I did not find a literary translation of this work into English.

The possibilities here are endless,given the richness of Russian literature.I would love to see the old countess and the young officer from Pushkin's "Dama Pica" in miniature.

Very nice and unusual - I would personally like to see some jewellery, a necklace would just finish off what otherwise seems a bit plain around the neck and shoulders. GOOD WORK THOUGH.

Thanks for your comment. I decided to give up the necklace to show the beauty of the neck and shoulder lines. In addition, many portraits, even of noble ladies, lack jewelry.

That’s different which is always good to see , very full bodied lady and very nicely sculpted , liking the sleeves and the way the dress sits

Particularly of note if the work you’ve done on the hairstyle , looks great , love the curls

Thanks for your comment. I decided to give up the necklace to show the beauty of the neck and shoulder lines. In addition, many portraits, even of noble ladies, lack jewelry.

I think that a simple necklace, just a chain perhaps with a locket, would add a nice bit of detail to the 'expanse' of the chest. It would also add a little sparkel.
