This is my last figure of 2008, Romeo’s 54mm Cowboy 1865, finished on New Year’s Eve morning. The base is somewhat small for the horse and rider, so I expanded it to fit the wooden base on which he is displayed. I added some water effects using Envirotex epoxy and Woodland Scenics Water Effects for the barrier and the splashes from the rocks the horse has displaced.

The horse was painted as a buckskin.

I assembled the rider separately but found I had to remove the right arm and left coat tail to fit him to the horse. I almost forgot the spurs and added them after the rider had been attached to the saddle. While this was a challenging task, they probably would have been detached if added before.

Cool figure, I like the way that you did the groundwork, my only critic is about the colors, looks kinda flat, some more contrast and blending will be great ;)
It's a good work anyway
