At some point this year I am going to step outside my comfort zone and paint something really challenging, ie heraldry, or perhaps a mounted Napoleonic.
What about you?

I love to paint German soldiers and this year I'm going for a complete change...and paint a Luftwaffe pilot;)
Good choice :)

For me as gordy: finish one figure will be very nice ! Probably a german soldier ... :)

I've got a Viet Nam diorama brewing in my head... infantry dismounting from a helicopter hovering just off the ground into a hot LZ. The 54mm Bravo 6 figures got the idea started.
I haven't painted a 20th century subject since I was 13 years old. Maybe it's time to try again.

WW2 German camo, scares me just thinking about it .Also I have Andrea 90 mm Son of mourning star assembled and ready to go but I know it's such a big job I can't bring myself to start it.

I'm going to have a first go at several 28mm ~ 34mm mini's fairly soon.
Then probably toward the end of 2012 I'll attempt Pegaso's 75mm Wandering Knight which has been hidden away in my stash cupboard for far too long.
Good thread by the way.
Cheers

As far as I can see it will be a templar and a napoleonic. . . I would like to try out a mounted figure, a 90mm or samurai (I just love these guys) or maybe all of them!! That would be very nice! I have already some concrete options in sight. . . let's see after I do those 2.

Next up for me is 2 versions of Nocturnas Violinist, their Gatekeeper figure and JMD's seated Norman Knight.
Then it's one of Youngs Celt busts and probably a 3 figure vignette using 3 of my Pegaso 75mm Romans
