I have decided to add a couple of figures to the Sergeant I am painting here....
https://www.planetfigure.com/threads/hanoverian-sergeant-battle-of-minden.117415/
to create a vignette of Hanoverian uniforms at Minden.

The figures are based on this plate from the Blandford SYW book....

So, the question is do I recreate the illustration like this....

Or swap the positions of the Grenadier and Sergeant so they are both looking inwards, like this....

I'm inclined towards option 2 but wondered what the consensus was, of course there is an option 3, something totally different. :)

OIption 2 for me the last one. for what its worth. They will look nice together.
Are you attending Euro this year or or are you out boating.

Maybe a little late, but overall I think option 2 is better, as both figures looking inward focusses the viewer on the visual centre of the piece. If they look outward the focus is lost.

Even later still ...option 2 for me !

Like the fact they are looking inwards at the central figure
