I'm about to use Deluxe Materials Solid Water and I want to give it a slight sepia tint.
Any suggestions as to what I should use. I'm using about £20 worth of product on a finished base so I don't want any streaks or other disasters and I don't want to spend anymore on bespoke tints given I only need a very small amount.
Any advice as always much appreciated.
Cheers
Derek

I don't know which one you're using Del?
I fit's the heatable type, I'd go with acrylic.
If it's the epoxy, Steve Readdie recommends Humbrol enamels.

acrylics will work just fine but only put in the smallest of dots and mix it very well. The color goes a very long way and too much will lead you to spending another 20 on more water.

I have the same experience as Mike. I used Vallejo. It does however builds up at the edges and around objects. With one sample I had some strange result with the colour slightly separating from the water. But it can be because I tried to shape it with an airbrush while hardening.

Did you guys try a acrylic ink? Just wondering if that would work better?

thanks for your input. I suspect that there's always a bit of a risk of things going a bit wrong here.
I'd thought of inks but rejected these as some can have a tendency to separate post mixing.
