Beautifully done so far, love the conversions!
And great painting up to this point as well. Well done.

Very impressive, wonderful painting.... so I hate to mention that the helmet should be khaki , not dark green . WW1 helmets were first issued in dull apple green , in time for the Somme battles in July 1916 . After that they had a rim added ,and were painted khaki, not unlike the colour of the webbing. Some had sand added to the paint, and of course a lot had covers ,made from sandbag material .
The dark green colour came into use in WW2.

Outstanding work. The eyes are great, I said before about the webbing and uniform matching together brillaintly. The wooden parts of the weapon are extremely well done and all in all a superb peice of painitng.

Hi Gerard,
That is progressing very nicely. Outstanding realism in that face, that must be some work bench limbo if you forgot about this little gem.
cheers
Richie

Thanks Richie. But I'm afraid I lost the entrenching tool in that limbo, so there will be no shovel for this tommy.

Thanks Gellso. About the wood I did it really fast using brown and black vallejo tints over a flat brown base.
