Having stripped this, I'm a bit happier with where it's going. I've added grey hair to go with the older looking face. (An old contemptable.)

This is looking really good.
If i may: i should paint the pupils a little bit greater. It's alot blue, but less black. If you look at eye's you see more black then blue. Think it over.
Indeed some dark shades and some red will look more tired...i agree with the guys.
Suggestion that i have from Dave Maddox: if you paint a highlight mix some lightblue in the white.......it is not so white but give a intence highlight.

Another observation

Hi Carl,
From the photo it kinda looks like the hair parts are just black on white, giving it a 2 dimensional look
You might want to try a dark brown as a base then wash black into the shadows, highlights with a little light grey then white at the tips. I think this would give more tone and more depth.

Thanks for the comments chaps. Grant it must be the photos, as there three progressively lighter greys in the hair.
Thanks again,
Carl.

Carl, excellent start, I saw this fella yesterday great skintones and nice texturing of the greatcoat.(y)

Cheers Ken

good choice to go for the repaint mate and nice work on those eyes, faces are always hard for me to judge without the headgear in place as this alters things drastically for me, looks good so far though mate.
