Tommys War
A Fixture
I'm delighted to present two new releases today in the Tommy's War range, the second;
Code; TW54032
Description; Private, 1st Bn Wellington Infantry Regiment NZEF, Chunuk Bair 1915
Scale; 1/32
Material: grey resin with photo etch rifle sling
Number of parts; 9 resin parts plus rifle sling (figure includes 3 head choices*)
Sculptor: Nino Pizzichemi
Box art; Michael Butler
Price; £14.00 GBP plus postage (£12.60 for members of the Tommy's War Collectors Club)
Available from; www.tommyswar.com
It's been a long time coming, but following on from the Australian figure in the range (TW54015) I'm very happy to release a kiwi figure to remember their sacrifice and courage, and although this figure is shown in Gallipoli in one of the most iconic battles the kiwis fought in the war, they served with huge professionalism throughout the conflict, including in France and Belgium.
Figure 15 showed an Australian just after landing, this figure shows how clothing had adapted to the awful conditions in Gallipoli. The soldier has cut his serge service trousers in to shorts, he has discarded his service jacket and he has left his 1908 webbing equipment aside in favour of a 1903 pattern 50 round bandolier**.
Important note;
This figure actually comes complete with 3 heads*!
I think this offers fantastic value for the modeller and a number of options. I've described the figures as below, but they do cover other regiments;
1. Lemon squeezer hat - 1st Bn Wellington Infantry Bn NZEF
2. Slouch hat - 3rd Bn Australian Imperial Force
3. Soft service cap (with neck protection) - 6th Bn Loyal North Lancashire Regiment
*Please note that only 1 torso and set of equipment is included in the box, but the 3 head choices are included in every box.

I'd like to say a massive thank you again to Nino and to Mike for completing all 3 heads for the box art!
