Blind Pew said - "I know for sure, the critics of this won't be able to create this themselves or do better.
Anybody can regurgitate an Osprey book".
Who said your not allowed to critise unless you can do better? I would have no chance of sculpting such a great figure but I found Harto's comments very helpful. I cannot speak for him, but my own comments were intended to help and inform other members who may want to correct the aforementioned inaccuracies, not to suggest that they shouldn't buy the model.
My original reply was mainly directed to Harto, and the illustration was not "Osprey" but from a Japanese publication, not as widely available in this country which I thought may have been of use in answering his query.
I don't care if others are uninterested in doing some research and just want to paint stock figures, but accuracy is an important part of the hobby for many. I also dabble in fantasy figures myself and feel that everyone should be able to model any subject they want to, but, to para-phrase Blind Pew's 'helpful' comment, - anyone can slap some paint on a store-bought figure.
Despite my apparently critical comments, I do love the model and will probably buy it despite my misgivings, as I had already stated.
