Thanks Fernando.

I got a lot of good advice at a club meeting tonight from Meehan34 and another person. I have a better understanding of what I need to do with thinning and applying the paints. So I'll be working on the face and shirt highlights and shades more this weekend.

Alright, I works a little on both the head and the shirt.

On the head, I was told it was too green. This of course is quite possible seeing how I am basically green color blind. Brownish Greens look brown to me (Khaki)and Greyish Greens look Grey to me.

So at the advice of club memebers, I took soom Tallarn flesh and watered it down to be a "fliter" and applied that over the head to hopefully dull the green tint. It could still be green, but I would not know :)

I was then able to also work on smoothing the highlights on the head some more based on the advice on how much to thin the paint and how much paint is left in a "unloaded brush".

Things on the head look better to me, but I defiantely want some advice. I'm figuring that I need to do extreme highlights and extreme shadows.

The shirt is ok so far. I know I have some extreme shadows and extreme highlights to apply and then further blending/filtering.

That's right. You need some more contrast in the face. More highlights than shadows, in my opinion. It still has a slight green touch but I like it. I think it's a nice work ;)

Here is my latest. Yes, I broke off the flail. I am kind of glad to have it out of the way for now. I will re-attach it later.

I reworked the eyes a little. It's still an awefully small area for me to work in, but I am happy with the little white part. Now I just need some advice on a pupil or something..

Worked more on the shirt and on the pants.

I did adjust the contrast on the three full body pics but that was the only correction.

The eyes are well positioned. I wouldn't do anthing more with them. Now you ned to get them smaller. Very easy. Just paint again carefully the lower eyelid with a light flesh tone in order to establish where is the limit of each zone ;)
Well done!

Got the cape, knife and more highlighting done. I will work on the belt and flail tomorrow and then get some picuters up. I still am procrastinating on making the pupils smaller...

But I am very pleased now.

OK, didn't make it to the flail today.

I had a hard time with the colors for the belt so I went back to the colors used on the wristbands for it. I had to fix a part on the chest where I hit it with the brush. I think I got close to the original colors and shading.

And now I know why I was procrastinating on them. Now I have pretty much messed the eye area up and have too many layers of paint on them IMO...

Ok, a picture of my mess. Any ideas. (or eyedeas) would be appreciated.

I'm stepping away for the night.

I would repaint the whole eyes area with your base flesh mix. Leave the eyeballs to see if you like it. If you do not, just repaint them as well. After that it should not be hard to rebuild shadows and highlights around the eyes.
It seems like you used a paint that was thinned too much and the area you try to cover for eyeball is definately too large.

Ok, I cleaned up the area with a exacto knife and I think I have the eyes cleaned up pretty well that I can put a new good coat of paint on them and not have the messed up texture from the previous attempts.

I will go with the idea of repainting the area starting with the basecoat color and re-creating the highlights and shadows in the area after I get the eyes done.

And I've calmed down now :)
