OhMa'Gosh. . . just beautiful work on a wonderfully sculpted
figure. One Planeteer already mentioned, this next point above,
but I'll mention it again. Lovely choice of colours, great colour
harmony here. And the photographs are some of the best
table top photography I've ever seen on this site. Whew,
congratulations, on a beautiful and inspirational
presentation. This is the work of a real artist, . . . indeed!

Thanks a lot.

The wooden base is a made to measure piece from Jean-Jacques Gagneux (also known as l''Ebenuisier'; follow that link if you'd like to know more). Here are some pictures before the ultimate assembly. It perfectly suits the metal base provided by Alexandros, though I had to fill the metal base with a large amount of milliput for it is hollow.

I did not use any airbrush apart from the overall undercoat (in Vallejo 'Brown Sand' (876)) and the first draft of the steps paintwork. However, as regard the face (I used the same colours as D. Cartacci, as explained in this tutorial), I applyed oil colours directly on this brown sand undercoat, and the final result was all the thinner and flatter (it better absorbed the oil surplus I think).
