Many months ago Sergey Zlobov posted his 40mm Trapper and now Thunderbird Miniatures has bought the master and produced a kit with the packmule and Mountain Man on horse riding down an embankment. One of the most colorful periods of American History is now available in a 6 part resin kit.

Arriving several weeks ago in a sturdy cardboard box with all the parts in individual bags and then wrapped in bubble wrap to insure against breakage during shipping. The embankment is a one piece solid resin cast.

Above you see various views of the main torso of the Trapper with the arms and hands cast separately.

Above you have the front and back of the right and left arm and hand. The rifle is cast to the right hand.

Above you see various views of the Mountain's horse with the saddle, blanket and canteen sculpted into the horse as one piece.

Pack Mule

Above you see various views of the Pack Mule showing the horse loaded with all the accroutmernts a Mountain would need while trapping the Rocky Mountains. The tail of the Pack Mule is cast with the mule.

Above you see all four sides to the one piece cast resin embankment base that the horse and pack mule will attach to easily.

Conclusion:
Knowing the casting process was a real challenge Thunderbird Miniatures has done an excellent job in the casting of the beautiful kit. As normal with any kit there are some casting blocks and seams to remove but should not be a problem as they are light. Highly recommended!!
