thanks for looking
My latest work, depicting a crewman of a British armed fishing trawler.
He's a Wee Friends body, modified Hornet head and Stalingrad hands. The Lewis gun is ICM with a Tamiya/Toothpick stand. Very early days but you get the idea.

Hi Paul ,interesting subject, and fine trasformation..in which way you realized the base of the vickers????

Mario from Italy.

I'm always following your projects with great interest, and this one's no exception.

One historical question concerning the crews of these armed trawlers: I can't see any brassards etc to mark them as combatants. Wouldn't they have been treated as mere partisans, i.e. armed civilians, when captured by the Germans and shot out of hand? Or were there special rules/regulations?

Cheers

As far as i know such crews were treated the same as Auxillary or armed merchants. The tiny Trawlers were used for everything from defeding Harbours to Convoy escort work.
