Trench Magazine " Figurines"

I just learned ( from a french forum ) yesterday that the editor of Figurines ( and many others mag like Steel Master, RAID, Wings Master etc ... ) is declared bankrupt .

What is left for us ? Nothing I'm afraid .

As I said previously on this same subject - I am coming round to the sad conclusion that we might have seen the last good book on what we do. I can't at the moment see where another one will come from. I hope I am wrong.

Marc, you are 100% correct - been saying this for years.

I've only been an occasional buyer if Figurines over the years (it always seemed a bit biased towards Napoleonics and that's not my favourite era) but as an armour modeller I used to regularly buy both the French and German Editions of Steel Masters so that's what I'll miss the most on the mag front. Now off to buy some back-issues that I missed (while I still can). But whatever your personal tastes it's a crying shame that H&C is no more.

The translation costs would have been prohibitive I'd imagine, for such a niche mag. That I suspect is a major reason why this never happened.

Fear Not, I've heard the publishing group has been taken over, and things should be back to normal by June.
