Hi There,

I just finished Troop54 excellent figure representing a Grenadier who fought at Minden.
I had to do some tweaks, like redoing the eyelips which were too engraved, but overall quality is very good.
there was many first time for me:
First time 75mm figure. I was scared by the size, but overall it's very enjoyable. I'll do more of them for sure
First time using Series 7 of W&N. excellent brush. My defunct brand "Manet" from Normandy has now a successor
First time using quasi only Ak new gen acrylic, which are excellent, not only the color range but the covering effect.

I thought at some point that I did all that for nothing when I dropped the figure on my terrasse and lost his head (and mine) for 24h...after some basic surgery, I could finish him.

ps: I experience a lot of problem when surfing on PF, sometimes page load got stuck and it's already the 3rd time I'm writing this post... Am I the only one ?

and after the blabla, the pics

Thank you for your nice comments guys. Currently starting some Tamiya 1/35 figures, they look so dwarf in comparison.....

Well done indeed. Especially as you were learning a few things on this figure. I'm glad you were able to recover after what might have been a disaster as well. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Beautiful finished work, some really good detail as Pete mentioned above. I share your anxiety on larger figures having only just done a 75mm after working primarily in 1/35th scale for the longest time. Looking forward to seeing what you do with the Tamiya figures.

Cheers Simon
