Hi Folks,

New releases from Troop54.
Its been a busy week returning from hols and one of the initial batch has already sold out. More are being sorted for next week.

T7534 Palmyrene Mounted Scout, Battle if Immae 272BC
3D sculpted by Nello Rivieccio
75mm Resin cast by me.

T7535 German Mercenary, Early XVI century, Italian Wars
3D sculpted by Nello Rivieccio
75mm Resin cast by me.

T5444 Officer, 43rd Monmouthshire Regt, 1808/12
Sculpted by Antonio Meseguer, Conversion of T5432
54mm Resin cast by me.

T5445 French Zouave Bugler, Battle of Malakoff, Crimea 1854
Sculpted by Antonio Meseguer, Conversion of T5435
54mm Resin cast by me.

Both the 54mm figures although not limited, only have 1 or 2 moulds due to them being conversions and may not come back once exhausted.

54mm versions of the 75mm figures are planned but probably next year if i get time.

Available from www.stormtrooperminiatures.co.uk

Many thanks for looking

Stuart

a bald headed scout in those times in the southern lands ? very very unusual and strange looking. at least one should have had the option of a second head as pictured in the original painting on Face Book. Makes me wonder why the sculptor changed the figure from the original ? very odd.

End of next week Bob, already cast just needs boxing up
Stuart

The scout is already showing out of stock, any plans to cast this one again.

Hi Bob ....picked the mounted scout up from Stuart at the recent Easingwold show it's an absolute cracker and even better made up...mines next in line.....no wonder it sold out for now.....the others are great releases also.....well done Stu and Mark......(y). Mike

Nello sculpted hair on the head, it's fine but it is there.

People are not all the same, look around and you will see this for yourself

Regards

Stuart,, a bald man

Don’t see what’s strange about it. Pretty sure that the ancients won’t have been immune to a bit of the old MPB.

And why change the head? Artistic license probably. Fairly straightforward really.

Some great releases , all will painted up well with Stu's casting prowess

I bought the German Mercenary at Easingwold, and the castle section really sets him off. It’s going to have to wait for it’s turn at the bench but I’m really looking forward to that one.

hello stu, thanks for the comment. alter ego - that explains it. it's a pity you have not followed more closely the original painting which had much more authencity. with digital sculpting it's no great effort to add an optional head, you should consider this for your future releases . I collect desert warriors on camel, but I have to pass on this until I have found a suitable 54mm replacement head. a bald head under a scorching sun simply irritates me too much.

It's 75mm......(y)

Hi Misfit 151, if you click on one of the photos it is advertised in both 54mm and 75mm. Just going on what it says, wether it’s been done in both who knows but it does say both scales.

Here is a close up of the head

The 54mm is not printed as yet and is unlikely to be done until 2024 at the earliest. The master will not be changed

The battle was fought near the coast in the border area of what are now Turkey & Syria. Mediterranean climate with cool damp winters, cooling influence of the Med and also it’s cooler later in the day. Lack of headgear perfectly feasible IMHO. It’s nothing like the Sahara or the Arabian desert.

First I would say we have four great releases from Stuart.
Normally we have comments like The Bust should have legs or the figure would make a great Bust or would be great in a different scale.
But never have I heard the figure needs more hair. Please!!!
Whats next the camel needs more fleas:LOL:
