Very nice, Bob. And excellent lighting on your fine
photographs as well.

Viking Bob!
That's a great bit of work-both figure and setting. You have shot yourself in the foot however.
From now on we will expect nothing less.
All the best.
Jon

Smashing job on a beautifully posed figure. The 'flatness' of the paint adds a nice touch to the subtle weathered look.
Great result on the groundwork plenty of interest without being overdone and distracting (y)
Cheers
Derek

great work all round, love the groundwork

Jon, Derek and Tony Thank you for the compliments, I now realise I will have to be on the ball in my painting.

Kansas Kid : I have been assisted by using a portable light room box which PeeDee reviewed here beginning of the year.

I have been using it ever since. you can just about get a 200mm bust inside but perfect for 54-120mm figures.

Really nice painting, Bob. Another example of the quality I'd love to reach, though doubt I ever will.

Great to see the Royal Welch represented.

Jeff

Superb work Bob.
Head to groundwork quality.
My guess is that you really enjoyed this beauty.
Well done Mate
Keith

Jeff,
Thank you but the lace on the shoulder scale's are a nightmare and the detail is so tiny that is was impossible to do it justice. I know the RWF have been represented in other scales, but in an earlier period.

Keith,
How did you guess I enjoyed this one, this one has sold out very quickly on Stu's website, as the others have too. Thanks for the compliment.

Bob

My apologies missed this ..blimey isn't 54mm small ! And doesn't Troop 54 do some lovely figures ..love the pies of this piece line the simple yet effective groundwork ..nice work on the uniform colours ..very nicely matted down .

Thanks Nap. Yep going to have to do another bust. Looking at 60th rifles from stormtroopers. 54 is small but have to use an optivisor but these are cracking figures.
Cheers mate

Well I have waited till, I think last of all to add a touch of reality in amongst all the syrupy words of congratulations Bob.

Brace yourself...... Love it.

;) Paul.

Paul. I take it from the comment, that you love it, I hope you mean the figure.
Cheers mate.

Lovely work.
