Hi All,
These are nowhere near ready but I thought I would give you an insight to what is coming along in the near future.
The first figure is something I have been working on whilst doing the 54mm Zulu and letting them dry ect. He is a mounted trooper of the Frontier Light Horse, currently sat on the Irregular Horse mount.

The second is an auxillary trooper of Chief Hlubi Molife's Sotho troop, based on the artwork of Steve Noon who gave me permission to reproduce his artwork as a model figure. Thank you again Steve.
An excellent job again by Ariel working from only one 2d reference and a bit of support from me.
The figure again will be reproduced in 54mm (1/30) and 120mm, I may also opt for a bust version, I will think on this one.
Files currently with Tommi who will produce his usual wizardry in Morph mud, so quite a few weeks away yet.
Anyway I hope you like what is coming along and the Hlubi Trooper is the second figure that can be paired up the the Natal Carbineer Sgt. The third figure for this trio which can be made into a vinette or stand alone is planned and in the pipeline.
cheers

A member of this troop is even immortalized on the base of a monument in Pietermaritzburg, which commemorates the Zulu wars there...:

Hello, the 3D foot figure is excellent and I want one. The mounted figure and horse dont quite look right? He seems to have too long a body? unless he meant to be standing up in stirrups? Horses neck?

Hi Michael,
Thank you, the Frontier Light horse figure is not on his own nag yet, this one is borrowed form an Irregular Horse Trooper. The horse is stretching his neck, that will all come to light in the future.

Hi Martin,
You are correct, that figure had to be repaired and refurbished a few years back as it was knocked off it's plinth. Only that figure mind you. There are theories why and none of them good. They were brave soldiers and deserve to be honoured as such.

Super subjects Richie. Love the look of the Native trooper.

Hi Neal,
Thank you mate, it was Steve's illustration for a commission painting that kicked this off and a tip off from my mate Chris Heal.
Here is the finished painting with the figure just behind Durnford.
Any one wanting a limited edition print of this signed by the artist can contact Neil Thornton
