Hi guys!
A Trumpeter of the 13th Regiment Chasseurs à cheval during Campaign 1805. The piece is a departure "Metal Modeles" and for the uniform I was inspired by two planches of Rousselot and Farthoffer.

Outstanding!!!!!
Was wondering where you were hiding... Now I see. You were doing this LOL
Very crisp paintwork as usual. Fantastic colours... very rich.

What's next?

Hi Andrea, great choice for a conversion. I really like the colors of the trumpeteer's uniform. You did a very nice rendition of this figure. Nice paint job, and the groundwork really sets him off. Who is Farthoffer?

Thank you very much!
I was inspired by planches on a very interesting book: "Les Trompettes sous l'Empire", which shows the drawings and watercolors regarding the trumpeters of the Grande Armeè made by different authors such Rousselot, Knötel, Boisselier, Roger Farthoffer, Markholsheim, Charles Brun, Bucquoy and others.

The book..

I have this in my collection and recommend it very highly to those interested in this aspect of the Napoleonic period. It is in French only but I'm sure that those interested in this topic will understand enough to make sense of it. Anyway the plates included in it make it a joy to read.

Cheers
