This Trumpeter of the French 9th Hussar Regiment was created using parts from RDG Miniatures Hussar Eagle Bearer and a Stormtroopers Hussar Trumpeter bust.

I found the 9th Regiment’s colorful uniforms for Trumpeters to be quite appealing.

Painted in oil, inks and acrylics.

Lovely work....it must have been a joy to paint - there's something deeply pleasing
with this colour scheme. Anyone remember Ray Lamb's Historex version ?

I agree, Mike. I found this regiment‘a colors to be very appealing. They really stand out among the other regiments’ trumpeters. I also like the contrast provided by the green cloak and the red trumpet cord and pompom.

Thanks for sharing those images, Kevin. I had previously seen the Conrad plate, but I don’t recall seeing the Historex Catalog with Ray Lamb’s figure. Brilliant work on that one!

J'aime beaucoup !! (in French)
was it easy to assemble the different parts from various manufacturers ?
