Figures from the Mercury Models.
Sculptor Ruslan Vorobyov.
Painting and entourage are mine.

"Tu proximum!"- "You are next!" - says dimakher, pointing at his opponent with a bloody sword. The weapons of the defeated brothers are scattered around after a group duel between two teams of "red" and "blue".
The drawing on the shield is from a real mosaic. One of the authentic gladiator figurines has a shield depicting gladiator duels.
The figurines are removable on pins, the weapons are as removable as the columns. For safe transportation.

Hi Sergey

Loving the story and the painting , very realistic , the details on the shields are well done and interesting reference as well

Lovely metallics

My money is on Red despite the threat from Blue !

....And enter in Vignettes & Diorama #3 which will be running till 31/12/21 with voting till 31/01/22

Rivet counter alert!! The Latin for "you are next! is "tu deinde", not "tu proximum" - That means "you are next (to something)" or "in the proximity of..."!

Sorry to be a pain, but I can hear my old Latin teacher spinning in his grave!!!(y)

I've been following you for years Sergey! Your work is incredible and becomes more and more enjoyable to see as time goes on.

Regards,

Kevin D.
