Two weeks as King of the Castle

Well, this morning I dropped the family off at Manchester airport and they went to Florida for a fortnight.
Having seen EuroDisney already, I opted out of two weeks at the eastern US version. And now have the place to myself.
Yeah...
Just me.
Hmmm...
Been a long time since this was the situ.



Think I'll clean the house.

Thank God I have a job.

I'm sure that all the other cool stuff you could do popped in your head first, then you felt guilty and said "I think I'll clean the house." It should have popped up the day before the family gets back and you have to figure out how to get rid of all the take away containers, empty beer and wine bottles!!!!!

Took a day off work and hit the North York Moors.
Absolutely lovely, even with drizzle showers (at one point, the sun was on my face and rain was on my back).
Medicine for mind and body.
I’ve reached the time of life where I’d rather be hiking than anything else.

Mind you, I may have been caught by speed cameras on the way there AND back.
