Here's my latest bust, it's a U.S Buffalo soldier from the late 1860's . I was intending to do a SBS but got carried away , that and being off work due to snow and ice :)
Appreciate you looking and I welcome all comments and critique.

Cheers Ken

Another stunning work my friend

:eek:Ken, truly likeness!
Great bust I must had one.:)

I can see that you've your unexpected time off constructively, excellent work Ken.
Love the little details,
Carl.

Now that's a really nice bust Ken, I've been looking for a good bust on this subject ever since seeing the film Buffalo Soldiers starring Danny Glover ,it's a cracking film .
The only one small thing is I think the top lip could be thicker but that's all
chippy

Carl, thanks mate, although someones pointed out that I missed the crossed swords on the hat.. Will add tomorrow. :)

Chippy, many thanks and I see what you mean about the top lip, not sure if I can add more as I'm afraid he's already baked.

Cheers Ken

Another cracker Ken!

We've had the snow down here in Kent as well, but I haven't been as productive as you! Maybe tomorrow? (More likely a hike to the supermarket!)

Trying to get into work is 'above my pay grade!'

All the best,
Cheers,
Jon.

Superb sculpting Ken.
I think it completed just similarly with an image of a picture.
Facial expression and details are also Great.
Wonderful!
I congratulate completion.

Off work because of snow !!!!! must be soft in the building game up north :p

This is looking really good mate and i was wondering when your next bust was going to be out, looks like you got stuck into this one and pulled it of very nicely, real nice subject also.

catch you later mate

Steve

Very Nice

Your usual great work Ken, is that glint in the eyes a small piece of convex metal ?

Great Job Ken:

I am Kermit the Frog Green with envy. I've seen a number of these Buffalo
Soldier Busts done over the years, and I think yours is the best rendition of
that well documented soldier that I have seen.

However, I will say that for me personally, I don't think the ties of the
neckerchief on his chest have long enough ends. From the knot to the ends
of those two pieces of cloth is not long enough, in my opinion.

Great sculpting however,

ricardo
