Dear Rob,

This is a beautifully executed figure. However instead of glorifying Nazis, how about some Royal Navy figures? e.g.
Lt.Cdr. Malcolm David Wanklyn, VC, DSO and two bars (a submariner) and
Captain Frederick John Walker CB, DSO and three bars (scourge of the U Boats).

Best Wishes,

Mike

Mike,

Glad you appreciate the sculpture, but there is no attempt to glorify the subject, it's just a historical figure caught in a moment of time. Yes I would like to produce more British Naval figures to add to my predominantly British range. I already produce a modern British Sailor but have to consider diversity within the range.

Like this one Rob, I think its a cracker. Nice pose and sculpting, think Alan has done a lovely job for you. I hope it will be a big seller,it deserves to be.

I love It, I am actually British , but leaving behind the politics of a past war (which involved human sacrifice and bravery on both sides) - I love its human qualities , a Kaleun coming home or leaving with a bottle of wine and flowers , reminds me of the party scene on the classic movie Das boot

will be a smasher to paint well done,

Lets leave arguing about medels to those who have made the sacrifice to win one :)

I like it alot. Honestly, I dont think the nazi thing even comes into play with this figure. If it were not for the medals I couldn't have told. Just looks like a sailor on shore leave going to see his girl. A great piece of humanity which is rare in alot of sculptures.
