Hello everybody,
Here is a bust at the scale 1/10 that I made for Michael Miniatures. The bust is an Imperial German 2nd Garde Uhlans Regiment Major. At first the Uhlans were Polish light cavalry and then the title was used by lancer regiments in the Russian, Prussian, and Austrian armies. This here belongs to the Garde-Ulanen-Regiment Nr.2 which was formed in Berlin. All German Uhlan regiments wore Polish style czapkas and tunics with plastron fronts , both in coloured parade uniforms and the field grey service dress introduced in 1910. Because German hussar, dragoon and cuirassier regiments also carried lances in 1914 there was a tendency among their French and British opponents to describe all German cavalry as "uhlans". The german Uhlans regiments were disbanded in 1918-19.
The posture that inspired me was that so-called pridefulness of the officer in the midst of a military parade. It is the 3rd bust that I made for Michael’s company and so I thought to change completly the attitude of the character.
The materials I used were Milliput Grey, Magic Sculp , Super Sculpey Firm Grey, aluminum wire. As always your comments are welcome .
See you around very soon

Unlike the other portraits I used Magic Sculp for the face because its softer and blends easier than any other resin that I know
