Hello,

can anybody help for good uniform reference for the Imperial Guard drum-major.
I attach some plates but are the lace of the sleeves white or silver? And the braiding on the busby?
Thanks!

All silver lace. He is the Tambour-Major of the ex-Hollandais Grenadiers of the Imperial Guard. Great uniforms in this particular regiment. Generally, the rule is silver or gold for officers, white or yellow for other ranks. NCOs would sometimes have a red or green and silver or gold intertwined mix in some units, especially the Imperial Guard during the Napoleonic period. Now the 18th century can be a somewhat different kettle of fish!
