More iffy pic's and still lots to do, the silver lace is taking forever. I am using molten metals old silver and bright silver as a highlight. These are the best acrylics I have used. I have completed the base and groundwork, as it's now easier to paint the figure. More to come soon.

Nice to see the updates, see you went for the red cross belt , don’t envy you with the metallics on such a nicely painted uniform

Enjoy the trefoils on the thighs !

You’ll get this looking the dogs biscuit

That is looking very nice indeed, and what a fantastic pose!

Thank you both, least with the metallic done I can go over the blue and make it tidy.
Nigel yes a fantastic pose and suits the figure.

Cracking job Bob, he looks great.
Those DarkStar metallics give a very authentic finish. I have a selection of them myself.

I have tried NMM but can't get on with that, so these are the best I have found, others are too opaque.
Thanks for looking in on this one.
Regards

Brilliant finish Bob he looks absolutely splendid, really like the white trousers the way you have done them and that mace head is awesome.

Cheers Simon

Cheers Simon, that's very much appreciated. I don't know how some people can put such detail on a tiny piece.
The whits trousers are painted with a mix of deck tan and ivory, the ivory and a small amount of white added. I will increase the white but diluted with water. With this mix I paint horizontal thin lines across the trousers. the final mix is more white added to this mix, its not pure white but enough to highlight the high areas

When I painted flats I used to have 30mm figures that had facial expressions, I also had a Chota Sahib figure of Sid Hortons, a German with lettering in a cuff title. Some folk are just far too talented and probably a little scary.

Thanks for the methodology on the trousers, I'm really going to have to start writing these things down, my memory is getting worse by he day! Hopefully catch up at Bugle Call this year.

Cheers Simon

Hi Bob

That didn’t take you long ! ...nice work on the silver lacework which against the blue and the flash of red all makes for a cracking display piece

Nice detail on the mace as well
