This bust was released by Regimental S4 Miniatures in December, 2007 and comes sandwiched between layers of cotton packing with the small parts sealed in a separate baggie. The kit consists of 4 resin parts.

Above you see the four resin parts laid out. The head, chest, base plinth and wedge. The wedge is supplied so the painter can use a flat top base as well as a slanted base.

Above are the four sides of the separately cast head showing the thin casted hat brim and well as the thin casted ears. A very slight seam line is on the back of the head, easily removed with a sanding board.

Above you will find the four views of the chest showing the attention to detail Nick has sculpted into the belt buckle, buttons and seam of the coat. No seam lines visable. Only the bottom of the bust needs sanding and clean-up.

Above is the head dry-fitted into the socket of the chest.

Conclusion:

An excellent kit depicting a Union Infantryman with minimal clean up needed. loaded with detail and excellent straight forward assembly. Highly recommended.
