Hi guys,

I am after some reference regarding the foldable leather shako worn by the US infantry around the time of the Mexican War, 1837.

I am converting some 28mm figures into US infantry around the time of the Battle of the Alamo and only have the illustration of a US deserter in the Texian army, in the Osprey book, "The Alamo and the War of Texan Independance", to work on.

If anyone has any pics, I would be very grateful!

many thanks, in advance,

Steve(y)

Taken from the Blandford book, I hope these help. I knew I kept it for some reason.......
