WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im ordering it today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great figure, FYI the photo that you based the figure on is of a Aussie M60 Gunner of the Royal Australian Regiment in Nam. Note the uniform and the SLR's being carried by the rifleman in the background, the soldier with the M16 would have been the lead scout or section commander.

Generally no. The Royal Australian Regiment (the Infantry guys) used Aussie uniforms and webb gear (they where jungle green in color so from a distance looked similar) Within a rifle section (squad) you had ten men armed thus (mixture of Australian and US made weapons);

*2 x scouts - F1 SMG or M16 (Aussie used M16 in SMG role not as a rifle)
*1 x Section Commander - F1 SMG or M16
* 1 x Machine Gunner - 7.62mm Bren or L1A2 AR or M60
* 1 x No2 on gun - 7.62mm L1A1 Rifle
* 1 x Section 2IC - 7.62mm L1A1 Rifle
*4 x Riflemen - 7.62mm L1A1 Rifle
* also within the section they carried a M32, M72's, M18A1'a, M30's etc.

The SAS (Spec Ops guys) used a much greater mixture of uniforms, gear & weapons and were seen a lot in US camo gear rather than the Aussie jungle greens that the infantry wore.

Very nice figure but the uniform looks Australian to me.Could be a basis for conversions with change of pockets etc to make u.s uniforms.
Nice figure though.
Richard.

Is this a 3 d rendering and print? There are a few things not quite right ie the helmet straps, 7.62mm link (wrong link and seems to just stop in mid air over shoulder), web belt has no detail, no shoulder harness for basic webbing, M60 lacks detail and has solid areas where holes should be, left hand pouch sitting way too low.

Allen: Did the aussies use american helmets?

yes they did. Usually in static positions or where the mine threat was high. it was normally worn without a camouflage cover.
