Outstanding painting. I really like what you have done. I have saved these photos for when I paint my copy. They are the best I have seen so far..

Every rendition I have seen of this figure have been stunning and this one is no exception, this figure really brings out the best in a lot of painters.

thanks for showing

Steve

Marine, what is that button on your body armor?
A peace symbol, sir
Where'd you get it?
I don't remember, sir
What is that you've got written on your helmet?
"Born to Kill", sir.
You write "Born to Kill" on your helmet and you wear a peace button. What's that supposed to be, some kind of sick joke?
No, sir.
You'd better get your head and your ass wired together, or I will take a giant shit on you
Yes, sir.
Now answer my question or you'll be standing tall before the man.
I think I was trying to suggest something about the duality of man, sir.
The what?
The duality of man. The Jungian thing, sir.
Whose side are you on, son?

LOL!!!!!! Sorry, couldn't resist. Great looking figure and it's obviouse where you drew some inspiration from for this figure (y)

Great and natural looking skin tone...but a note re VN War graffitti: it was not universaly applied or permitted, USMC tended to be more restrictive to allow so much expression on helmet covers and flak jacket...the early to mid stages of the war didnt see so much peace signs and more underground stuff than the withdrawal phases or specifically the later part of that withdrawal phase(70-72)....again safest thing is to research pictures and actual graffiti, teary eyed or too heavy counterculture expressions were not the norm for all army units vene less the USMC and not during the whole war...one thing is what a movie portrays--the directors idea of what was like-- another is what comes from research of real VN War pictures...just a note on research and accuracy...
