Hi folks.

This is my first completed figure. 1/35 Live Resin "US Modern Soldier". Painted with Vallejo Acrylics. Any constructive feedback is fine with me.

Welcome aboard Andrew! If that's your first figure it really is very very good, especially in such a small scale. I'll leave others who have more detailed knowledge of the modern camo to comment on its "accuracy", but the main colours at least look pretty good to my eye. I like the groundwork too. Nice job!

For the first you take a great challenge. You have done a good job.
It's nog easy to paint digicamo. I think you are not done with the figure.
There is no shading and highlighting. The only highlight on the uniform is the white of the camo. And the camo has 3 colors not two.

Also the face is a little pale and has not much shading and highlight. But again, for the first, a damn good job.

Thanks Steve & Marc. Appreciate the feedback. Although it doesn't show well in pics there is actually 3 colours on the camo uniform. I agree the face is a bit bland. Hopefully my face painting is improving as I go.

If I were to add any critique I would say that you might want to try some oil washes and pigment dusting to make it look like the figure has been trawling around the arid area you have him in...as soon as any soldier starts wandering such places they get grimy quickly...And I think oils are better for flesh tones (oil and enamel mix) - just my thoughts.
