If you're looking for a single definitive work on WWII US Paratroopers and have the coin get "Geronimo!". There are a handful of others, Osprey has a couple that are good. Windrow & Hawkins has "The US GI in Color Photographs" or something like that. It covers all army uniforms during WWII. "America's Finest" is a little known title, but a very good one. There are many.

Salamander Books "D-Day; Operation Overlord". "WW2 Troop Type Parachutes; Allies" by Guy Richards. "U.S Army Uniforms of WW2" by Shelby Stanton. "Doughboy to G.I.; U.S. Army Clothing & Equipment from 1900-1945" by Kenneth Lewis. "Steel Pots;History of America's Steel Combat helmets" by Chris Arnold.
