Hi all,

Hereby my latest work. A Young Miniatures buste from a US soldier in a wool coat.
I love the cold feel of this figure and I try to paint a different light from the left front. So the back side is really dark.
It was fun to do and the result on the front is good. The back isn’t what I had in mind but it’s okay.

All painted with vallejo acryls

Thanks to Magnus for a great inspiration

Wonderful painting. I'm guessing we're looking at a case of "stippling" here? That seems to be an increasingly popular technique for achieving a textured effect on clothing.

Very nice work. The texture looks great and you captured the winter lighting really well. To me the back looks just fine.

Cracking result on the bust , the lighting works well , and as usual the overall effect of a battle hardened soldier is achieved
