I am going to paint this one as well, it's a great figure. So the trousers were a light gray? Been trying to decide from references. You are doing a wonderful job on this in my opinion.

Steve

Hi Steve, Quote from the afore mentioned site
'all Marines were permitted to wear white linen, or cotton trousers, cut like the sky blue trousers.'

Thanks for the comments but this was Nov 2016, it has been finished but I can't locate the page on here, will post some piccies later.

My good wife must have been listening or reading over my shoulder and I found this one under the Xmas tree. I is on my to do shelf to do right after the 19th Legere Sapper bust from Storm Trooper (also from my bride). Now that I have him I am more convinced than ever that the lad needs hair. BTW, if I did not already say so your finished marine looks terrific.

Beautiful work and an outstanding subject matter. Greatly enjoyed your sbs. Pleasure to know of your interest in this historical period and your reenactment activities. Actively reenacted for 20 years including 135th 1st Manassas, Antietam (Sharpsburg), Shiloh, Gettysburg among others.

It' was a lovely hobby, I came over to the States in 2004 for the 140th Cedar Creek. Great times. The toured the battlefields in Virginia and the surrounding area. Many thanks for your comment.
