Here's a old Monarch figure I just finished. I used duro for the bags under his eyes, mustache, pocket watch in his left hand, the frogging and buttons on his cloak coat, sword knot, and the trouser stripes. His left hand is a airfix multipose. I wanted something different in his hand from a cigar or pipe, so, I used a pocket watch. Hope you guys like it. Again I'm working on trying to get my pictures right.

Thanks Steve. If you can't tell he's on 1 of the marbled bases I got from you. He's on the black and the " johnny reb" is on the green. I'm about to get "johnny reb" finished, then I'll throw him on here also. Chris

Well done. I like the watch very much.
I once removed the pipe of a figure to put some gloves in his hands instead, but this is even better.

Dennis, I don't know if you can find it or not. This figure is about 30yrs old. I don't know how long monarch has been out of business. You may be able to find it in ebay or from a painter thinning out his collection. Good Luck!
Chris

Thanks alot, David. I've been wanting to do this guy for quite awhile. I seen Horans version in one of his books. And it gave me a nudge to finally do it. Chris
