Hi guys,

Attached are the final pics of my latest piece , Pegaso's awesome 90mm US Marine Vietnam 1968 depicting a Marine rifleman during the siege of Khe Sanh. First time I've painted very dark skin colour and I must admit it was fun to try something different. The sculpting on this figure is just superb. It went together like a dream. I love the "gung ho" stance and the attitude.

Painted in oils over acrylics.

Its nickpiking, I know but having checked with my old(1970) jungle boots...the soles of the casting are much too thick.
A superb paint job though.

Really great job on the Afro-American skintone... something I've found really difficult myself. I've been told the easiest skintone to paint... is your own.
Also a great job on the faded out OD fatigues (they usually get painted far too bright) and the red clay stains on the knees.

Overall good job on a beautiful figure

Sorry Tony, I missed this one. Looks even better than when I saw it last time.
You really nailed the uniform colour and Afro-American skin tones. Did you use pastels for the red dust?
Superb work, mate!
