Hi Janne I have been looking at both of these pieces of equipment myself and have opted to build the vacuum chamber myself as its a relatively simple thing to make, I will use a used gas cylinder with top cut off to make the vessel and use 25mm clear acrylic sheet for the lid with rubber seal in between, all that is added will be a Vacuum gauge and valves. To buy a ready made vacuum chamber her in the U.k would be around £400 or more new.

Hopefully when I get round to construction I will post some images explaining the process.

I also intend to make a vacuum former there are plenty of tutorial on you tube explaining how to do this.

Thanks Steve!

As I do this on behalf of the IPMS-Stockholm chapter, we actually rather buy one than try to build it. Also because of safety issues. Besides, the pound is really low these days. ;)

Cheers
