Hi pF friends,

I've been painting big scale figures and busts a lot this year so I need a bit break from WW2 era and faces with beard. :)

I started painting my first female figure. Hope you like it.

Any comments and critiques are welcome as always, and feel free to share good reference images of Valkyrie.

yeah brother! One of the all time greates figures ever. You are doing sweet justice to her with your great painting. I will be watching as you show us your steps.

Very nice skin tones.

Did you have to re-sculpt the right hand /arm so she could actually hold the spear. Same problems on the left arm/ hand that` s supposed to hold the rim of the shield. These was no way it ( the shield) would clear the cape to meet the hand. Nice sculpt...dreadful engineering, at least on the early one I ( and others) got. In most eary pics , you see the spear leaning against her left shoulder with the empty right hand....

Thanks everybody, for your comments!

And Yes, RFL, this figure have some problems to assemble. I had to small re-scupt around, here and there.
I noticed the right hand still look a bit large, so I will shape a bit smaller, but only small changes.

Off to a beautiful start, Kaz! Your painting of skin tones always amazes me no matter what the figure, but it's nice to see how you've dealt with the softer, more feminine tones.
Can't wait to see more progress
Cheers

Very nice work so far, you really know how to paint flesh tones... this time was probably a bit different and more subtle, being a female model, but you did a great job. Will you be painting transparent robes, similar to those we saw here on the forums couple of weeks ago?
