Vallejo colors for WWI German uniforms?

I would like to have a go at painting WWI German figures. I understand that the uniform color changed somewhat over the course of the war. Are there recommendations of Vallejo colors and color combinations which might be tried.

I was thinking of trying to mimic these colors:

I use field grey and a touch of dark grey, or field grey with a touch of Russian uniform.
