Hello again guys, long time since my last post here, that one is loosely inspired on THIS artwork by Joe Quinones. As usual in a smooth, rounded and stylized style which is the way I prefer, made of Magisculpt in 1/5 scale, hope you like it.

First off, you should win an award for the worlds cleanest work bench!! Anyone else feel the same way? Well you were going for the smooth, rounded look. I think you accomplished it, very nice. If you would like to share, how do you produce this smooth look?

Thanks, much appreciated. It's the "sand to death"

technique...

After placing a new layer of putty I smooth it as much as possible using a synthetic brush and alcohol and when the putty dries I sand it down to 1000 and even higher sandpaper using some water.

dumb question, but what do you mean, you sand with water? Last time I tried it it made the sandpaper get all wet and come apart
and whats the benefit of wet sanding

beautifull looking sculpt, it must have took a lot of magicsculpt to complete, especially with breasts that large .

An huge lot lol anyway when sculpting that size parts like torso, pelvis, thighs are filled with uncured Sculpey, I mean a rough Sculpey modelling over the wire armature and a layer of Magicsculp over the uncured Sculpey.

I mean using wet sandpaper, the gray one NOT the red or whatever just the gray, when you wet it it becomes malleable while water extends its abrasive life and above all that way there is no putty dust all over the workbench.

Smeagol, paper for wet sanding is available in automotive supply stores or some DIY stores carry it. It is usually a finer grit and the back looks almost like fabric. As you use the water, the sanding residue is floated away from the surface and hence the longer life of your sanding medium. As calvin stated this also reduces significantly the amount of dust created. The finer grit leaves less scratches and is easier to control the surface and allows more control.

The sandpaper is called Wet and Dry .guess what it's not sandpaper but carbon and the water washes out the particals giving it a longer life . Lesson over .

Thanks but I'm not from the USA and Roy Hunt sadly passed away some time ago. If you are from the UK I think the best option for the Magicsculp is El Greco Miniatures, take a look here.
